Policies and Procedures
(the boring stuff - please read anyway)
These policies and procedures are here to make sure everyone enjoys a smooth, stress-free experience. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll need to agree to these guidelines before booking. Let’s dive in!
Booking Your Appointment
New Clients: You can book your appointment either online or by phone. Online booking is highly recommended because it’s quick, convenient, and available 24/7. As a sole practitioner, I don’t have a receptionist, so online booking ensures you can schedule your appointment without waiting for a callback. If you’d prefer to book over the phone, feel free to give me a call during business hours, and I’ll be happy to assist. If I don’t answer, you most likely caught me while I’m with another client — in that case, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible. Please note that a credit card is required to book an appointment.
Before You Arrive
New Clients: Arrive 15 minutes early. This gives you time to park, settle in, and go over your intake form with me. We’ll discuss your goals and tailor the session to your needs.
Returning Clients: A 5-10 minute buffer is fine to handle quick updates, use the restroom, or just breathe before your session.
Parking:
Feel free to park in any “Khospace” covered spots or the additional guest/visitor parking on the building’s west side.
Our private parking lot is also available, accessible from NE 1st St (labeled “Reserved”—but don’t stress, it’s reserved for you).
Running Late?
No problem, just shoot me a text or give me a call. Keep in mind, though, your session may be shortened to keep things on schedule for everyone else.
Consultation: Getting to Know You
Every session starts with a quick consultation. After reviewing your intake form, we’ll chat about what you’re looking to achieve—be it pain relief, improve flexibility, or working out that kink in your neck from scrolling too much. I’ll also ask if there are areas you’d like avoided or if there’s anything sensitive (like a recent injury).
Here’s how it works:
You’ll always be properly draped—Florida law requires it.
I’ll step out while you disrobe to your comfort level (everything off, undergarments on, or even fully clothed—it’s your call).
I’ll knock before coming back in.
During the Massage
Your comfort is the top priority. Speak up if you need:
More or less pressure.
A technique adjustment (it’s your body—this is a no-pain zone).
The table warmer or music volume adjusted.
I usually play a mix of soft piano, lo-fi, or ambient music, but if you’d prefer something different, just ask! I once played Metallica upon request.
Prefer silence? No problem. Want to chat? I’m all ears. The only topics off-limits are politics, religion, and anything inappropriate.
Zero Tolerance for Misconduct:
Let’s keep it professional. Any inappropriate behavior—like suggestive comments or touching—means the session will end immediately. You’ll still be charged, and depending on the situation, authorities may be contacted.
After the Massage
I’ll check in about how you’re feeling and chat about post-massage tips to make those good vibes last. Mild soreness? Totally normal. Drink some water, take it easy, and you’ll feel great in no time.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Life happens, and I completely understand that unexpected events may disrupt your plans. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice so that I can offer the time to another client in need.
If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, a fee equivalent to the full cost of your appointment will be charged to the card on file. This policy helps me manage my schedule and maintain fairness to all clients.
If you’re feeling unwell, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. I’d rather you take care of yourself than risk coming in sick.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration!
No-Shows
I understand that things can come up unexpectedly, but when a client doesn’t show up for their appointment without prior notice, it impacts my ability to serve others who may have needed that time.
If you miss your appointment without notifying me, the full cost of the session will be charged to the card on file. This ensures fairness and allows me to maintain a well-organized schedule for all my clients.
If something urgent arises, please reach out as soon as possible—I’m happy to work with you when notified in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Reasons for Refusal of Service
Your well-being and my safety are equally important. Treatment may be refused or discontinued for reasons like:
Intoxication.
Derogatory or discriminatory comments.
Romantic or sexual advances.
Illness or contagious conditions.
If this happens, the full session fee will still apply. Not sure if you’re well enough for a massage? Check with your doctor first.
Thank You for Respecting These Policies
These guidelines help create a safe, professional, and relaxing experience for everyone. Got questions? Don’t hesitate to ask—I’m here to help.
